bamboo-tea-tray-water-drain-japanese-style
Japanese Bamboo Draining Tea Tray

The Japanese Bamboo Draining Tea Tray is designed for traditional tea service, giving teapots, cups, and accessories a dedicated surface that keeps spills contained. Its natural bamboo grain and simple rectangular shape bring a calm, minimalist look to kitchen counters, dining tables, and tea corners.

The slatted top allows excess water and tea to drain into a built-in reservoir below, which is useful for rinsing cups, warming teaware, and pouring over pots during gongfu-style brewing. This keeps the surrounding table dry and tidy during a tea session. Two sizes are available: a smaller tray, about 11.8 in by 7.1 in, suited to a single teapot and a few cups, and a larger tray, about 15.7 in by 11 in, with room for a full tea set when serving guests. The tray also works well as a display base for a teapot, pitcher, or small plant when it is not being used for tea.

Bamboo is a naturally renewable material that is lightweight yet sturdy. To care for the tray, empty the reservoir after each use, rinse it with warm water, and allow all parts to dry fully before reassembling. Avoid soaking the tray or placing it in a dishwasher, as prolonged moisture can cause bamboo to warp or crack. Occasionally applying food-safe oil helps maintain the finish.

Key Features

Natural bamboo construction

Slatted top with built-in drain reservoir

Two sizes for solo or group tea service

Keeps the table dry and organized

Minimalist Japanese-inspired design

Details

Small: 11.8 in x 7.1 in x 1.6 in

Large: 15.7 in x 11 in x 1.6 in

Material: Bamboo

Drainage: Built-in water reservoir

Care: Hand wash and dry thoroughly; not dishwasher safe

In the Box: 1 tea tray

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0791/7073/2283/files/bamboo-tea-tray-water-drain-japanese-style-894655.webp?v=1790784300
